Trump's lawyers put on screen in a single sentence two of Trump's lies about the height and location of The Trump Building. Team Trump cannot resist unnecessary exaggeration.

11:34 a.m.: The Trump team displays misleading information on the screen in the court room. “In 1995, Donald J. Trump acquired 40 Wall Street, now renamed The Trump Building, which is a 72 story landmark building in the Financial District, directly across from the New York Stock Exchange,” one slide says. In fact, 40 Wall Street is 63 stories, according to documents filed with New York City and the Securities and Exchange Commission. And although Trump’s building is very close to the New York Stock Exchange, it is not directly across from it.

12:15 p.m.: The exaggeration is not limited to 40 Wall Street. Trump’s team pulls up a slide about Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, New York, saying the property is “located just 30 minutes outside of Manhattan.” Even if someone started in Harlem, at the northern edge of Manhattan, Google Maps says it would take that person 41 minutes to arrive at the moment.

12:28 p.m.: Trump’s team pulls up a slide about the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, which it calls a “64-story glistening tower.” But an architectural drawing show the floors jumping from what appears to be the eighth level to the 16th, allowing the top floor to be numbered 64, even though the building actually seems to have fewer levels than that.

Earlier...
11:09 a.m.: The Trump team even brings up assets that the Trump Organization no longer owns. A photo of the Plaza Hotel appears on the screen. “My father saw an opportunity to buy what was one of the great, iconic projects in New York City,” Don Jr. says. He does not mention that the Plaza Hotel reportedly went bankrupt on his father’s watch.

My dear God, Bill...! Why hasn't Trump already hired this legal super man of yours? Why is he wasting his time with the blithering idiots he's hired when this guy has all the answers he'd ever need? He's obviously more brilliant and knowledgeable than any of the other legal "experts" making the rounds on all the other news networks who declare Trump to be burnt toast.

Tell me. Has your Legume of the Law ever mentioned anything about believing that Trump is actually innocent of any of the charges? Or is he only being a font of obscure and dubiously relevant loopholes that he imagines Trump's legal team should use so he can get away with all the felonies he's committed?

Everyone knows he's guilty. The evidence is beyond blatant. It's just that about a quarter of the country is brain damaged enough like you are to think he should be allowed to break any law he wants to without any repercussions.

You are ignernt po. Dershowitz did defend Trump...during one of your precious impeachments. But, he never does a redo.

    Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh, idjut!

Has your Legume of the Law ever mentioned anything about believing that Trump is actually innocent of any of the charges?

Oy, po. Do you actually read posts on SS or, more likely, are you, simply, an imbecile!!!!!?

pb quotes his three Legal Goobers to demonstrate that rational, informed people are concerned that, under the string-pullers, the US DOJ has been politicized and that a two-tiered justice system now exists...

...as #1 says in the video.

You're the law school professor and former Supreme Court intern here. Whether Trump's actions and the crimes with which he's charged correlate is beyond me.

I'll merely observe that others at least as expert as yourself...

    ...bahahahahahahahahahaha baha baha baha...

    ... are doubtful.

"But, he never does a redo." -Hate

Yeah. Once a lawyer has gotten stiffed by Trump once, they rarely go back for more. No wonder he's not on the team now.

So essentially you're saying that he has never suggested that Trump was innocent. Okay fine. That's all you had to say, Bill. Why you always have to present an answer to a question with all that irrelevant non sequitur nonsense is quite a mystery.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on November 14, 2023 8:12 am

So essentially you're saying that he has never suggested that Trump was innocent.

He's abhorred by what the string-pullers have done to justice in our constitutional republic. He's a classic lib who loves America.

"He's abhorred by what the string-pullers have done to justice in our constitutional republic." -Hate

He's abhorred by the fact that his lifetime of criminal fraud has finally caught up with him and is holding him accountable for his crimes.

So is it your contention that a true constitutional republic would simply ignore all of Trump's felonies and just let him get away with them all...? What sort of blithering nonsense is that?

Or is it that you believe that only Democrats should ever be held to account for crimes while Republicans should be free to commit whatever crimes they care to...?

Why is the criminality and corruption of your party of no concern to you at all, Bill?

  8. by Ponderer on November 15, 2023 5:57 am

I was speaking of Trump, not your peanut man of course.

Not that he seems to be all that concerned about trump's felonies at all either.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on November 15, 2023 6:05 am

    po,

What felonies has Trump convicted of? List them in chronological, not alphabetical, order, if you don't mind.

  10. by Ponderer on November 15, 2023 7:43 am

You know... I used to think that you were just playing dumb when you would respond to things I said with irrelevant, non sequitur nonsense that had nothing at all to do with what I was saying because you couldn't think of anything intelligent to say.

But I no longer believe that you are playing dumb. I have accepted that you simply are dumb, Bill. Lobotomizedly so.

I'll ask again, even though you are too dumb to understand the question...

Why is the criminality and corruption of your party of no concern to you at all, Bill?
